Ampeg is proud to announce their latest and greatest signing — bass icon Stanley Clarke. As a genuine pioneer, Stanley has been playing, recording, composing and innovating for more than four decades. Challenging most of the traditional notions of bass performance, he brought bass front-and-center in a huge way. From groundbreaking work in Return To Forever, right up through his modern solo endeavors, he has remained a unique and compelling artist.
Stanley spent most of 2010 touring with a new Ampeg PRO NEO rig, as well as an SVT rig (SVT-2Pro/SVT-410HLF). Most recently, the Stanley Clarke Band was nominated for two Grammys: Best Pop Instrumental Performance and Best Contemporary Jazz Album. Adding Stanley to Ampeg’s roster is clearly one of Ampeg’s most significant signings, among a sea of impressive endorsers. Stanley’s first official Ampeg appearance will be signing autographs at Ampeg’s new upstairs demo room at NAMM on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at the Anaheim Convention Center – Demo Room 209A/B.

Bass Musician Magazine, a Virtual Bass Magazine Designed For Bass Players and Bass Professionals, is unlike any other as far as content is concerned. As far as Bass Musician Magazine reviews are concerned, whether it is CD's, DVD's, books, or musical gear, we will take the time to prescreen for our readers whatever has been presented to us, and review only what in our opinion is a viable option for our readers to consider, so it becomes not just a "review" we're offering, but a "recommendation" as well in hopes of guiding our audience to some alternatives they may or may not have known about that we feel deserves attention.

holy crap. what a killer Alembic tenor bass. it must have a 3 pole state variable filter built in
