Aguilar Amplification is pleased to welcome George Porter Jr., legendary bassist for The Meters, to their endorsing artist roster. George will be using the new Tone Hammer 500 head and two super light SL 112 cabinets.

The Meters brand of New Orleans infused funk has led to classics such as Cissy Strut and Look A Py Py. With The Meters and as a sideman, George has recorded and/or performed with Paul McCartney, Robert Palmer, Tori Amos and Patti Labelle.

Aguilar President Dave Boonshoft says, “We are honored and proud to have someone as influential – and wickedly funky – as George Porter Jr. using our new Tone Hammer 500 head and SL 112 cabinets. With this lightweight rig George proves that only the tone is heavy!”

The SL 112 is now shipping. The Tone Hammer 500 will be released in April 2011.
