The Bud Jones Band Featuring Bassist Tim Kerrigan

The Bud Jones Band Featuring Bassist Tim KerriganThe Bud Jones Band Featuring Bassist Tim Kerrigan…  The Bud Jones Band is a musical project with a home base centered around Northeastern Pennsylvania. The primary songwriters, bassist Tim Kerrigan and guitarist Leo McClusky, compose music that spans many genres. Their songs range from ‘jammy’ vamps to funk to blues to rock, with a touch of hard rock / metal for good measure. Many of these songs can be heard on the March 2013 release  “BJB – The Bud Jones Band.”

For this recording, in addition to writing songs in the many styles they have enjoyed over the years, they left plenty of room for interpretation and improvisation. This is important because with eighteen different musicians participating on the record, they wanted it to feel inspired and exciting with a depth that can only come from allowing people to play exactly what they feel. This freedom of musical expression was an easy decision since many of the musicians featured on the new CD are world-renowned, highly skilled, touring professionals.

Some of the great players joining Tim and Leo are:

Drums/Percussion:

Brian Tichy (Foreigner, Ozzy, Steven Tyler, Billy Idol, Whitesnake, Sass Jordan)

Wally Ingram (Sheryl Crow, David Lindley, Stockholm Syndrome, Steve Kimock Band)

John Kimock (Steve Kimock Band, George Porter Jr, XVSK)

John Hummel (Lady Gaga, Eastern Potata, Matt Oree Band)

Frank Hanyak (The Extended Play, Creepjoint, The Beat Angels)

Guitars:

Jim Wieder (The Band, Levon Helm, Project Percolator)

Elliott Randall (Steely Dan, John Lennon, Doobie Brothers)

Zak Rizvi (Power Windows, 4 Front)

Craig Thatcher (The Craig Thacher Band , Martin Guitar clinics)

The new CD is available at Compact Disc World (Bethlehem, PA), CD Baby www.cdbaby.com/Artist/TheBudJonesBand  and soon iTunes, Amazon and others.
