Take Five Bass Transcription, video and pdf download…
“Take Five” is one of the most famous jazz standards in history. I grew up listening to this, so when I started playing the melody, I was excited to see how cool it laid out on the bass guitar. I have included fingerings for the entire piece because they can be tricky and these are one good option for you to consider. Also notice the four note hammer on / pull-offs that require a fast shift in an attempt to emulate the saxophone. The bridge plays itself on the bass, and the fingerings and string choices really make it snappy and fun. Enjoy!
