Aguilar Amplification and Fodera Guitars Announce Clinic with Bassist Tony Grey

Aguilar Amplification, maker of high-quality bass amplification, pickups, preamps and effects pedals for bassists and Fodera Guitars are pleased to announce a clinic with bassist Tony Grey.

One of the freshest voices on the modern Jazz scene, Grey is renowned for his melodic style of playing as well as his versatility as an accompanist. In addition to his four releases as a bandleader – including his most recent album 2013’s Elevation – Grey has recorded and/or performed with Hiromi, Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter and Tomoyasu Hotei.

In addition to his performing schedule, Grey is also an avid educator with numerous books and clinics to his credit. He has successfully launched an online course called the Tony Grey Bass Academy.

For this clinic, Tony will be bringing special guests – keyboardist Cliff Barnes and drummer David Throckmorton – to demonstrate the interplay between improvising musicians and developing a groove within this format.

The event will be held at the Aguilar Artist Loft in NYC on Thursday, September 25th, 2014 at 7pm. In addition to the clinic, guests will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Aguilar and Fodera and to try out gear from both companies. There will also be raffles to win prizes from Aguilar and DR Strings!

For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed online at the following link: new.livestream.com/aguilaramp/tonygreyclinic

Tickets are $5 per person and all proceeds from tickets sales will go directly to benefit Little Kids Rock (www.littlekidsrock.org)!

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance from Aguilar’s web store at the following link:
