Just a Note With Bruno Tauzin: Pick Exercises
Playing with a guitar pick consists of moving the pick alternately upwards and downwards. With this technique, generally used by guitarists, the bassist can gain speed and endurance. But be careful! You must use your wrist and not your arm to play upwards and downwards moves. Here are 3 exercises to help you with training:
Exercise 1
Start with an easy exercise in eighth notes. Make down and up moves on each string. Keep your left hand flat to get dead notes. Work slowly.
Exercise 2
It is quite the same exercise but in triplet eighth notes.
Exercise 3
C major scale, ascending and descending.
