Saxophonist Robin Verheyen is in full command and in the process of establishing himself as a force of nature in NYC. This wonderful horn player has released one of the best jazz quartet albums I’ve heard so far this year. His tone is sublime and the band is just killing. Playing with both the utmost subtlety and aggression. I’m pretty floored by the musicality portrayed here. I’m looking forward to years of masterful music from this young musician.
