Meet Jaime Vazquez –

Hello my friends! Thanks for all your support! I appreciate it! For this month I got something very cool for you. Did you know you can make a groove using a melody? Yes you can. This is something that I like to do as a soloist. The idea is to play the lead voice without losing your role as a bass player at the same time. It’s a lot of fun to play because you’re adding more flavor to the melody. Here’s an example of what I’m doing with the jazz standard called Cottontail by Duke Ellington. I’m recording it as a cha-cha-cha (a style of Cuban music). Enjoy!
