Ron Carter on Schedule for Nice Jazz Festival… In 2011, the City of Nice took up the challenge of recovering the management of the Nice Jazz Festival, the oldest european Jazz Festival (Since 1948) a huge international event.

The Festival also left the Arènes de Cimiez to settle in the heart of the city. Nice Jazz Festival is definetely entering in a new era. Last year, more than 30 000 spectators (record high number since 2003) were thrilled by a high quality program during five nights.

The one and only Diva of Jazz, Dee Dee Bridgewater, will be the godmother of the 2012 edition. The program will be enlighted by amazing performances with living legends : Ahmad Jamal, Ron Carter, Herbie Hancock, the representants of the new generation : The Bad Plus & Joshua Redman, Trombone Shorty, Ibrahim Maalouf International stars : Selah Sue,TEXAS, Erykah Badu, Emir Kusturica, Gilberto Gil and french artists Richard Galliano, Thomas Dutronc et le trio Rosenberg.

Nice Jazz Festival, 2 stages, 2 simultanious atmospheres and 30 concerts during 5 days and a thousand reasons not miss it from the 8th to the 12th of July 2012 at Place Massena, Jardin Albert 1er.
