At just 21 years old, Mike Zabrin is one of the most exciting young bassists on Warwick’s current roster of endorsers; his new track “Funkin’ with You” is further proof that Mike is truly a force to be reckoned with. Available exclusively on www.MikeZabrinMusic.com, Mike has tremendous control and confidence in his instrument tonally and harmonically, but maintains a fun and low-down funky vibe. His impressive solo on this track showcases his jazz influences while remaining deep in the pocket, capturing the fun vibe and fire of Mike’s voice. The musicians in the band are top-notch; the horn lines in Mike’s power-house 8 piece band really give this track life, reminiscent of Tower of Power.

World renowned musicians such as Buddy Guy, William Bell, Doug Johns, and Mike Stern have shared the stage with Mike and instantly took a great liking to him. “I met Mike at NAMM last year, after only 3 seconds of hearing him play I realized his voice and potential as a player was very special. Through his clinics, performances, and his first single, Mike is inspiring many other young bassists around the country. Although he already has a very successful career started, Mike stresses in his clinics how important it is to finish school. As a jazz major at Columbia College Chicago, Mike goes to school during the week and tours across the country Friday through Sundays.
