Describe – The Way I Play Bass:
I do my best to incorporate a blend of picking, plucking, tapping and slapping….. though I do find myself tapping more and more the last couple of years.
Share – Why I Decided to Play Bass:
I first picked up the bass in school, I thought it would be an easy credit. I got more than I bargained for, found a lifestyle instead.
My Musical Influences:
Everything From Victor Wooten to Matt Freeman.
My Favorite Musical Styles:
Love them all they all have a time and place could never pick one.
My Bass(es):
My baby is a Musicman Sterling Dargie Le, I also own a stock Yamaha rbx 360, Yamaha rbx 370 with EMGs as well as a Ibanez Spt electic\acoustic.
My Amps and Other Gear:
Cab – 4×10 SWR Goliath, 4×10 SWR Golight
Head – SWR 4004 Workingman
I am Endorsed By:
I have artist extended pricing from “EMG”, and am signed to Unir1 records.
The Best Bass Advice I Have Ever Received:
Don’t drop the rhythm.
One Piece Of Advice I Can Share With Other Bassists:
Just be a slave to the rhythm.
Favorite Quote or Life Philosophy:
Never give up, anything is possible.
Most Amazing Gig so Far:
Playing with Legoman Haircut on a Protest the Hero line up (other bands Abandon All Ships, Hawthorne Heights) was an amazing gig because I pulled through with a broken humerus bone… hurt like hell… amazing that I pulled through.
Most Embarrassing Moment on Stage:
Once upon a time when I was playing with Legoman Haircut, our guitar player, Ryan Amodeo, jumped and flew right into “Strung Out’s” guitar player Jake Kiley’s cab and rocked it good. Gotta love stage jumps that go wrong, good times.
Favorite Tip to Share on Traveling With Your Bass:
Lock your case! Yeah, that’s my advice… lock your case!!!
What Would I Be Doing If I Weren’t a Musician:
I really don’t know… I often wonder the same thing, and I just don’t know. Playing music is kinda, sort of all I’ve ever really done.
The Question No One Ever Asks Me, But I Have Been Dying to Share:
What’s your G string tuned to? Answer – F sharp 🙂
Here’s What I Have Coming Up This Year:
I have a numerous amount of show booked with Grindcorchestra, and Matches For Kindle. As well to keep uploading to new material to the Youtube account. Lastly try to get enough material together to release a second solo release through Unir1 records in January 2015.
