The Brad Cheeseman Group is set to release its first full-length album…
The self-titled album presents eight exciting contemporary jazz compositions from the electric bassist/composer, each masterfully performed alongside musicians Lorenzo Castelli, Robert Chapman, Sam Kogen and Chelsea McBride. Brad Cheeseman Group was produced by acclaimed Canadian bassist Rich Brown and the album is currently available for pre-order on Bandcamp at bradcheeseman.bandcamp.com.
The Brad Cheeseman Group has been blending the rich language of jazz with elements of rock, R&B and other styles since 2012. In 2013, the band took home “Instrumental Recording of the Year” at the Hamilton Music Award for its Mixed Messages EP, and was nominated in three additional categories. Four-time Juno-winning bassist/composer Chris Tarry has described Brad’s music as “the perfect combination of everything that matters: groove, melody, and the all-important bass line” and the band has shared this winning combination of musical elements at the Sound of Music Festival, Waterloo Jazz Festival, and Steel City Jazz Festival.
