Anthems for Doomed YouthThe Libertines, who released their highly acclaimed new album, Anthems For Doomed Youth in 11 September 2015, are currently on tour. The band’s biggest show to date was at The O2 in London’s Docklands on Saturday 30th January – and concluded their tour schedule in Britain.

The band took to the stage early bursting into an electric two plus hour set. The Libertines seemed tighter than ever, professionally storming through the their tracks with the energy and personality usually associated with a ‘club show’.

Long time Ashdown user John Hassall was keeping The Libertines’ low end down with his trio of ABM-900 heads and ABM-810 cabs, which look pride of place on stage, as seen from 20,000 fans. John Hassall has been using Ashdown for best part of 14 years.

After a polished 17 song set, the band returned to the stage for an encore, led by a cover of Babyshambles’ ‘Albion’ which sparked a series of four Libertines classics which left fans on a massive high: ‘Music When The Lights Go Out’, ‘Up The Bracket’, ‘What A Waster’ and ‘Don’t Look Back Into The Sun.

Ashdown rigs will be rocking stages at number of shows and festivals throughout year. Check out www.ashdownmusic.com for more info.
