Following Billy Sheehan’s confirmation as a bass professor at Bass Camp 2016 now guitarist Alex Skolnick (Testament) and drummer Dennis Chambers (Santana, Billy Sheehan, etc.) have also confirmed their participation as professors. We are glad to announce, that the prominent professors team for the Bass Camp 2016 is now complete and consists of the following virtuosos:

About Alex Skolnick:

Alex Skolnick is an American metal and jazz guitarist who is the lead guitarist of the metal band Testament as well as the leader of The Alex Skolnick Trio. In addition to his two main projects, Skolnick has recorded and toured with many musicians from other musical style such as: Ozzy Osbourne, Steven Tyler, Joe Walsh, Robert Randolph, Roger Daltrey, Living Colour and Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez. He also released a solo album in 2014, which is completely acoustic. As a faculty member of the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, Skolnick released an instructional DVD and been featured as a guest speaker at several universities around the world.

At the Bass Camp 2016 Alex Skolnick will talk to the participating bass players about interaction in a band, assignment of tasks within a song, arrangement etc.





About Dennis Chambers:

Dennis Chambers (born May 9, 1959) is an American drummer who has recorded and performed with John Scofield, George Duke, Brecker Brothers, Santana, Parliament/Funkadelic, John McLaughlin, Niacin, Mike Stern, Greg Howe, and many others. Despite a lack of formal training, Chambers has become well known among drummers for his technique and speed. As an instructor Chambers is very sought after for clinics around the globe. His instructional DVDs are a must have for modern drummers. At the 2016 Bass Camp he will teach the students interacting with a drummer. The students can look forward to learning from a legend and possibly performing with him.
