Cog Effects are proud to announce the release of the new and improved Tarkin and Grand Tarkin Fuzz pedals.
Following on from the T-16, the first 1590A pedal in the Cog Effects range, the Tarkin has been squashed down to 1590A size and packed with more features too. The single Mids switch has been replaced by two switches, LPF and HPF, which control the shape of the filters making up the Tone control to reduce the classic mid scoop to cut through a live mix on guitar or bass.
Internal switches are included to adjust the clipping style and even remove either pair of clipping diodes, adding further flexibility to the base Green Russian tone.
The Grand Tarkin Bass Fuzz retains the Mids knob from the original allowing you to dial in the perfect amount of mid content to your fuzz tone, and the filtered clean blend that integrates so well with the fuzz. No more side-by-side unnatural-sounding blended signals, only huge building-breaking tones are available with this one. New for the Grand Tarkin are two pairs of Clean Level and Fuzz Level controls, allowing the user to set two sounds and switch between the two with the second footswitch. Jacks remain north-mounted to stay pedalboard-friendly. Huge tone, huge flexibility, small footprint.
Each Tarkin and Grand Tarkin is built one at a time and features true bypass switching, engraved aluminium enclosure and no PCB-mounted jacks – designed and engineered for a life on the road.
From the outset, the Tarkin range has been about great fuzzes that won’t let down gigging musicians on the live stage. The updated versions add extra flexibility to any pedalboard while keeping the same bulletproof construction.
