Described as “one of a kind” we are happy to introduce exceptional Framus & Warwick Custom Shop Masterbuilt instruments. These unique pieces combine stunning production technology, sound and design!

With this unique Warwick Custom Shop 5-string Buckeye Burl top Thumb NT #15-2874 we fulfilled the personal request of a customer of our Japanese distributor. This marvelous Warwick Masterbuilt Thumb NT 5 is a true beauty:

The Bubinga Pommelé body with curved body shape and matching Bubinga Pommelé electronics compartment cover is covered with a 1″ top of gorgeous textured Buckeye Burl. The matching headstock cover is also made from Buckeye Burl. The headstock is equipped with Warwick machine heads with wooden tuner buttons and D-tuner. The five-piece laminated wenge neck represents a “hidden neck through” construction design with a solid Buckeye Burl top hiding the neck, while on the back you can see the neck-thru design. Body, neck and headstock are finished in Natural High Polish.

Snakewood is used for the fingerboard, with 26 extra-hard jumbo frets that were polished perfectly with our IFT (Invisible Fretwork Technology). The fingerboard inlays in form of F clefs are illuminated from below by blue LEDs, and on the upper fingerboard edge we installed blue LED markers. A Just-A-Nut III brass saddle rounds off the outstanding design.

In addition to the special wood requests, there were many requests regarding the electronics. Here we paired the popular and proven MEC electronics with a Fishman piezo system. An active MEC J / TJ pickup pair, with 3-band EQ and rechargeable lithium battery meets a Fishman piezo pickup system, which is housed in the two-part Warwick Brass Bridge.
