Hand-drawn Guitar and Bass Setup Guides by Luthier, Gerry Hayes
Luthier, Gerry Hayes announces the release of Sketchy Setups, four hand-drawn guides designed to guide players through the process of getting their instrument playing its best, with the minimum of fuss.
“Imagine your best friend was a setup guru, and they wrote a book just for you and your instrument,” said Hayes, “That’s the sort of focussed and friendly feel I wanted Sketchy Setups to have.”
Each Sketchy Setups guide concentrates on a single instrument, or type of instrument, so a player can get straight to work. There’s no filler—just the right information for your guitar or bass. Why read about Strat tremolos when you’re setting up a Les Paul?
Being completely hand-drawn keeps Sketchy Setups easy-going and easy-to-follow. “Every page stated out with paper, pencil, and ink,” says Hayes, “Drawings make the information more approachable and can show things photographs can’t.”
