trickfish-amplification-welcomes-bassist-tim-scottTim is a seasoned veteran that has performed and or recorded with some of the most notable names in the music business including: Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, Billy Preston, Dr. John, John Mayall and Jack Mack and the Heart Attack, Tower of Power, Dave Mason, Robben Ford, Etta James, The Boneshakers, El Chicano, The Grammy All Stars and his latest project, Zen Blues Quartet, with internationally acclaimed drummer and member of the Heartbreakers, Steve Ferrone. His R&B roots are deep and his soulful singing makes him the complete musician. His latest project, Red House “four of the baddest players/singers in the Northwest, playing blues, R&B, soul & funk with fiery, wild abandon; doing it “Their Way” has just released their latest EP entitled “Over Yonder”.

“We’re so pleased that Tim has joined the Trickfish family” states Richard Ruse, Trickfish founder. “Tim is not only a gifted bassist whose impeccable groove and penchant for picking the right notes makes him unique, he’s also a singer’s singer. His style has been likened to Donny Hathaway and for those R&B aficionado’s that’s a high compliment. But, as is the case with all of the Trickfish artists, most importantly Tim is a warm and spiritual human being who shares his gifts easily and often. It’s a big reason he’s played with a list of artists that represent the very best our industry has to offer.”

“I’ve known Richard for quite some time, well over 20 years. I first met him when we played together in the Tower of Power Rhythm Section – he was subbing for Rocco and I was singing and we just became friends sharing in the force of nature known as Francis Rocco Prestia!” states Tim. “We’ve of course kept in touch and recently I realized it was time to get a new rig and Richard’s company came to mind. I stopped by a local music store to audition the gear and was astounded at the organic sound and tightness of the rig. Being an R&B influenced player I needed something that was greasy, could get a little grit and sounded authentic. I was blown away by the Trickfish rig! It has all the attributes I was looking for and is the quickest amp I’ve ever played through. I’m now playing through the Bullhead1K and two SM112’s. It doesn’t hurt that it’s easy to move around, versatile and fits in a car…I’m in heaven.”
