JT’s Bass Jam Performer Announcement, Jeff Berlin!

Long regarded as one of the premier bassists in the world, Jeff Berlin’s signature playing and innovative approach has graced the bandstands and recordings of legendary players like Bill Bruford, Allan Holdsworth, Dennis Chambers, Scott Henderson, Neil Peart, Billy Cobham and John McLaughlin. He has recorded for vocalists Patti Austin and kd Lang; he has traversed the progressive rock realm with former YES members Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman and Howe and is the only electric bassist to have played with jazz pianist great Bill Evans. Jaco Pastorius considered Berlin a better soloist than he was. Jack Bruce said that Jeff “was the greatest bass player I ever heard!” From straight ahead Jazz to Fusion to Prog-Rock, Jeff is famous for playing anything, always at the very highest level of proficiency and musicality.

He currently has a PledgeMusic campaign entitled: Jack Songs: An All-Star Tribute to Jack Bruce. Featuring an A-list of guest artists, this is a loving tribute of the highest order to the legacy of Jack Bruce’s stellar career.
