Trickfish Amplification Debuts New Sm210v, Sm210hd and Bm410hd Bass Cabs

Trickfish Amplification Debuts New Sm210v, Sm210hd and Bm410hd Bass Cabs

Trickfish Amplification debuts 3 new neodymium loaded cabinets that feature 400W proprietary drivers. SM210V

Utilizing two proprietary 400 watt, 3” voice coil Neodymium drivers designed in conjunction with Eminence®, the SM210V sets a new standard in performance to weight in a small format bass instrument loudspeaker. The 8 Ohm SM210V is designed to stand vertically making it ear friendly as a stand-alone cabinet or, when 2 are stacked on top of each other, a powerful small footprint line array.  It features feet on two sides of the cabinet, which also allows for horizontal deployment as a low profile single cab or as a faux 4 x 10” when two are used together. The SM210V’s cabinetry is constructed from 15mm Baltic Birch ply and features two steel handles, metal corners and intense structural bracing that help mitigate unwanted resonance. The cabinets are covered in 22 oz. Sharkskin vinyl and features an acoustically transparent cloth grille enhancing the sophisticated design of the speaker. Speaker connections are made using a Neutrik Combi-Speakon and the crossover features a high frequency attenuation control.

“The SM210V is the first cabinet to use our new, proprietary neo 10” driver and the results are stunning. I don’t believe there’s a more powerful, musical sounding Neo 10” driver out there. We’re achieving a greater MAX SPL rating, a modern sounding voicing that manifests in a slightly forward presence and the weight reduction is especially noticeable at 2:00 am when you’re loading out!” states Richard Ruse, Trickfish founder. “Having a slightly taller yet narrower cabinet with the handles on the sides really helps with the ergonomics – it’s easier to get through a doorway or slide into the backseat of a car. And when you have two stacked tall the coupling gain really makes for a powerful presence on stage. The box really has exceeded our expectations.” The SM210V will be available in late February, 2017 and will have a Street Price of $999.00

“HD Cabs”

The SM210HD is the next generation Small Mouth cabinets featuring the powerful new 400W Trickfish proprietary drivers. Maintaining the same cabinet features and dimensions and as the SM210, the SM210HD will feature a roadworthy 16 gauge steel grille, 18mm void-free birch ply cabinetry and, due to the light weight of the neo drivers, will weigh in at a very manageable 48 lbs. Due to the improved efficiency of the drivers the MAX SPL has increased by at least 2db and the more forward tuning of the driver enhances intelligibility. Overall the cabinet is now rated at 800W peak power handling. The SM210HD will be available in mid-March, 2017 and will have a Street Price of $1099.00

The BM410HD is the next gen Big Mouth cabinet and also features the new Trickfish proprietary 400W neodymium 10” drivers, 18mm void-free birch ply cabinetry and a roadworthy 16 gauge steel grille. The Ferrite to Neo transition drops the weight down from 96lbs. to highly manageable 74lbs. Due to the improved efficiency of the drivers, the MAX SPL has increased by 3db and the more forward tuning of the driver enhances intelligibility. The cabinet is rated at 1600W peak power handling. The BM410HD will be available in mid-March, 2017 and will have a Street Price of $1399.00
