I had lived in Puerto Rico for over eighteen years and the Island still has a special place in my heart.
That said, it is with great pride and enthusiasm that I write this introduction for Puerto Rican Bassist Jaime David Vazquez, who graces our cover for this March 2017 issue.
Jaime has been an important part of the Bass Musician Magazine family for years and has been a steady contributor with his education and bass transcriptions. Many of you will remember the on-location interview we did with Jaime back in 2012, both in English and Spanish.
As we fast-forward to present day, Jaime has proven himself to be one of the hardest working musicians not only in Puerto Rico but in the business in general. His strong love for bass is evident in all he does and he is a force to keep an eye on.
