Behind the Scenes at Summer NAMM 2017
What a great show for Summer NAMM 2017… I consider it one of the best so far!
A couple of things that really stood out for me were the BackBeat, Taylor GS Mini Bass, the introduction of a new signature bass from Fender, and of course, running into friends I haven’t seen for a while. [svp]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ncoS9eF9yM[/svp]
A lot of great manufacturers were there including Vintage (Winner of Best in Show – ‘Gotta Stock It’ Category) ESP, Serek Basses, BOSS, D’Angelico, Reverend, Stagg, Warrior, Fender, Yamaha, Peavey, Hal Leonard, Alfred, Presonus, CruzTools, Harold Cagle Custom Basses, SIT, D’Addario, SIT Strings, NS Design, Kiesel, and many more.
It was hard to do a ‘Top 10’ as I have done in previous years because everything was great, including some stuff that had been around for a while and a lot great new things for bassists and all musicians on the horizon (even drummers! LOL).
It didn’t stop at Summer NAMM during the day either…
Roy Vogt held the best bass lineup at Douglas Corner on Thursday and Friday nights of Summer NAMM, as did Adam Nitti at 3rd and Lindley on Thursday night and Saturday night at Douglas Corner.
Summer NAMM also has a public day on the Saturday of every year.
Nashville is a great city and a great place for Summer NAMM. I’m already geared-up and excited for Summer NAMM 2018!
