Tensor Inc. announced its newly redesigned Classic series of bass guitars for 2018.

The new models are a complete ground up redesign from the original Classic design. The new design incorporates a deeper cutaway body for greater access to the 25^th fret. Also new is the upgraded and redesigned force balance system. As an integral part of the Force Balance System^TM a new bridge was designed and is manufactured in Tensor’s Mission Viejo shop. The new bridge has a greater range of adjustment for intonation and string height.

The new line still maintains the light weight of its predecessor.

The impressive sound of the new basses is provided by Nordstrand J series pickups. The new line also sports a new finish. Each bass comes with a natural or stained satin finish. The pickguards are still available in all of the original designs as well as a selection of wood veneer finishes. Lastly and perhaps most importantly the new line also sports a lower price point.

The retail price for the 4 string single pickup version is $1,595 and for the 5 string dual pickup version is $1,795.
