Quality in-ear monitors are no longer optional for today’s pro musician.

Vocalists tend to LOVE in-ears; bass players tend to hate them.  Let’s face it, reproducing the sound and feel of a bunch of speakers moving actual sound molecules is downright challenging using only tiny micro drivers stuffed in your ears.  UE has been the leader in this field almost since it’s inception, and their top-end models really DO leave even bassists perplexed as to how something so tiny can sound so enormous.

In the “old days” (actually just a couple years ago) being fitted for custom molded in-ear monitors entailed having a physical puddy pressed into the ear canal to make an impression.  Yuck!  Costly, too.  Today, digital scans have replaced physical impressions.  Verry cool.
