By 1962, The Beach Boys would be singing about the sun, surf, sports cars and bikinis of the Southern California scene. And they would go on to become one of the most popular and critically acclaimed rock bands ever. Songs like Surfin’ USA, I Get Around, California Girls, and Good Vibrations captured a moment and helped distinguish The Beach Boys as one the few American bands to enjoy success before, during and after the 1964 British invasion. Here are bass lines for 12 of their memorable hits.
