Kind Of Blue was the defining album from a towering figure in American jazz.
Sixty years after its release, it is still the best-selling jazz album of all time. Over a five-decade career, trumpeter, band leader and composer Miles Davis experimented with styles and created movements. He recorded Kind of Blue in 1959, with bassist Paul Chambers and saxophonist John Coltrane. Though the lines were obviously played on acoustic bass originally, Aidan Hampson has arranged these transcriptions with the electric player in mind.
