Europe’s biggest guitar show is back! From September 09 – 11, 2022, the Who’s Who of the national and international guitar world will meet again after a two-year break at the Rosengarten in Mannheim for an extended weekend dedicated to electric guitars, acoustic guitars, basses, effect pedals, amps, accessories and of course music!

YOGA FOR MUSICIANS
Bass legend Jonas Hellborg and experienced yoga teacher Pressiana will provide a yoga session specifically for musicians on Sunday morning at Guitar Summit 2022. From relieving minor specific aches and pains to awareness and focus, Jonas and Pression will present some simple but very effective yoga techniques that lead to a more conscious awareness of one’s own body and mind and should be interesting and useful for any musician.
MASTERCLASSES
Besides the large exhibition with over 450 brands from the guitar and bass world, more than 100 inspiring workshops and thrilling live concerts on 7 stages, the Masterclasses, which are sold separately, are an essential part of the Guitar Summit.
As a supplement to the various free workshops, the masterclasses offer a particularly deep dive into the subject matter. In small groups and private atmosphere, guitar-related topics of various specialties are treated intensively – and by well-known musicians! A great opportunity to learn from the best! MIKE DAWES
Mike Dawes is not only one of the world’s best and most creative fingerstyle guitarists but also a fantastic teacher. He regularly publishes columns and has taught countless courses on his guitar style at universities around the world.
In his masterclass at the Guitar Summit, Mike introduces all the techniques and tricks of the modern fingerstyle genre and shows how to effectively use the acoustic guitar for your own compositions and arrangements. Look forward to alternative tunings, harmonic mayhem and lots of percussion!

MARCUS DEML
Not only since his current solo album ‘Healing Hands’ Marcus Deml is considered an absolutely outstanding guitarist. In the process of his impressive career as a studio and touring musician, he has graced hundreds of music productions and well over 1000 live concerts with his extraordinary guitar playing. As a solo artist, the musician from Hamburg released several acclaimed albums with his band ” Errorhead” and the blues-rock act ” The Blue Poets”.
In his three-hour masterclass at the Guitar Summit, Marcus will help the participants to realize their own creative potential with refined technique and refreshing joy of playing by explaining various useful concepts for hobby musicians and full professionals. This masterclass covers a wide range of styles, from blues and rock to fusion.

JON GOMM
Fingerstyle master Jon Gomm always sees the guitar, playing technique and music theory as creative tools and thinks nothing of set rules to follow.
In his masterclass, the British musician will demonstrate tapping techniques, percussive fingerstyle and how to use both hands to create melodies, harmonies, bass lines, drums and other sounds with just one guitar. He will give tips on how to best amplify these sounds with pickups and other equipment, and how to compose stunning music using simple music theory.

HENRIK FREISCHLADER
Whenever there is a German guitarist who plays on the level of international top stars of the blues-rock scene, it is probably Henrik Freischlader. With his impressive guitar playing and his full-sounding, raw voice, he knows how to inspire not only die-hard blues fans but also young people for the genre.

In addition, he presents various methods on how to constantly improve your guitar playing. Gus takes time for each of the masterclass participants and takes into account the respective playing level.

THOMAS BLUG
He is not only a world-class guitarist – as a composer, producer and guitar amp builder Thomas Blug, one of the busiest players in the guitar business, enjoys international recognition. He has already received several awards for his virtuoso guitar playing. Thomas Blug has also made a name for himself as an author and tutor.
In his Blues-Rock-Masterclass at the Guitar Summit, it’s all about the ” fun of practicing”: Thomas gives tips and tricks on playing technique, improvisation and songwriting, which are not only fun, but also really help advanced guitarists.

A ticket for the Guitar Summit is NOT included in the price of the Masterclass ticket. This can be purchased either in a presale or at the box office.
