Michael League and Snarky Puppy Release Bet + Tour Dates…

Michael League and Snarky Puppy have released the second single “Bet” from their upcoming album Empire Central. League notes that, “dedicated to Dallas icon RC Williams (musical director for Erykah Badu and bandleader of RC & ThaGritz), ‘Bet’ moves through a mixture of styles: church, soul, and even Brazilian Funk.”

The album was recorded over the course of eight nights at Dallas’ Deep Ellum Art Company in front of an in-studio audience and features the last recording of funk godfather Bernard Wright, who tragically passed away after the Empire Central recordings. 

Empire Central is to be released in its entirety on September 30.
