California Son is Ted Russell Kamp’s 14th album featuring his songwriting, bass playing, singing and producing. Recorded entirely in L.A., the album is both a love letter to the L.A. music scene with its romantic and inspiring history and a biographical journey through Ted’s life as a singer, songwriter, session musician and survivor in the music industry.

The album features performances and co-writes with many of Ted’s long-time friends and collaborators including Brian Whelan, John Schreffler, Shane Alexander, Emily Zuzik, Mike Dawson of the Smoking Kills, Jenny Van West, Matt Lomeo and I See Hawks in L.A.

It rocks, it rolls and gets honest and personal while paying homage to the classic sounds of L.A.’s California Country and singer/songwriter genres as well as delving into classic folk, Texas groove and rock and roll.
