New Album: Coop a Loop, The Sequel

Philadelphia’s own bass virtuoso, Coop a Loop, released his latest album, “The Sequel”. An instrumental tour de force, the album features Coop’s signature lead bass playing with a full band production featuring live drums and Coop playing all of the other parts with just his bass and effects pedals, blending funky grooves with catchy melodic hooks and intricate electronic textures

“It’s got a bit of everything—funk, indie, electronic vibes, and infectious melodies that you just want to keep playing over and over. A lot of the album reminds me of music that you would find in classic video games. This project to me is as if Victor Wooten joined a jamtronica band that listened to a lot of Radiohead and indie music.”

Known for his inventive use of loops and effects, Coop a Loop (the solo project of Eric Cooper) has carved out a unique space in the world of bass-guitar driven music. His work transcends genre boundaries, incorporating funk, electronic, jam, indie, and ambient influences. Featuring clean slap techniques, tight fingerstyle grooves, and expansive soundscapes, Coop’s music challenges preconceived notions of looping while delivering high-energy, danceable beats.

The Sequel promises to be another milestone in Coop a Loop’s evolving journey, exemplifying his passion for melody and his innovative approach to the bass guitar. Whether as a solo act or performing with his band, Coop a Loop continues to electrify audiences with his genre-defying sound and magnetic stage presence.

The Sequel is available everywhere now!
