Gear News: Guild Starfire Deluxe Bass
Guild® Guitars introduced the Starfire Custom and Starfire Deluxe guitars and the Starfire Deluxe bass—the newest additions to its Newark St. Collection.
“The Newark St. Collection honors our ’60s-era legacy of exceptional quality and vibe while also adding contemporary touches that make the guitars and basses more relevant to today’s players,” said Nick Beach, Product Manager, Fretted Instruments. “The Starfire Custom and Starfire Deluxe guitars and the Starfire Deluxe bass are reimagined versions of some of our most iconic electric instruments.”
These latest Newark St. Starfire instruments comprise three Deluxe and two Custom guitar models and the Starfire Deluxe Bass—greatly simplifying the original naming conventions—and each model is available in several gorgeous gloss finishes for a total of 17 distinct options.
Guild HB-2+ humbucking pickups deliver tones ranging from old-school warmth and depth to cutting-edge crunch and clarity. DeArmond® Dynasonic single-coil pickups sound bright, punchy, and clear with more than a touch of twang. BS-1 BiSonic single-coil bass pickups offer full and rich tone with exceptional articulation.
Guitarists and bassists seeking professional instruments with vintage vibes and contemporary tonal flexibility will find them in the Newark St. Starfire line.
