The Tour Book: How to Get Your Music on the Road (2nd Edition) contains practical advice, hints, and tips on every aspect of putting on a live show and taking it on the road. From the inner workings of the concert industry, rehearsal and elements of a show, equipment, and contracts and riders, to show bookings, on-stage tips, marketing, and how to get paid your due, this instructional resource is a must-have for those who are serious about touring. The Tour Book features interviews with key figures from across the music industry and is the only guide to compile and distill the most current and best advice from today’s artist managers, booking agents, talent buyers, and successful artists. Social media and technology to enhance artist profiles and the future of the live music industry are also covered.

For those completely new to touring, the book teaches how to appear professional and knowledgeable in an industry that has its own conventions, language, and sometimes baffling technical terms. In addition to sharing the essentials to creating better shows, the book also gives guidance on how to keep getting bigger and better paying shows, to help musicians build a profitable and long-term career in the music industry.
