John Entwistle To Hit Big Screen:  Ten years after his untimely death, the man considered by many to be the greatest rock bassist of all time will be featured with his iconic band The Who in a new documentary on July 24th. “The Who: Quadrophenia – Can You See The Real Me? The Story Behind The Album” premieres for one night only, and offers a behind-the-scenes look into the band’s wildly successful, widely celebrated album “Quadrophenia”.

Originally released in 1973, the recording is perhaps the single best document of Entwistle’s ferocious bass talent, with songs like “The Real Me”, “5:15” and “The Punk Meets The Godfather” showcasing the bassist famously nicknamed “The Ox”. Although his masterful work had been a major part of The Who’s prior albums like “Tommy” and “Who’s Next”, the improved audio quality and superior mix of Quadrophenia brought Entwistle’s bass to the front like never before, and the album would become a benchmark for all rock bassists who followed in his path.

The new documentary will give fans an in-depth look into The Who’s creation of “Quadrophenia,” and is packed with never-before-seen stories of the original band (Pete Townshend, Roger Daltrey, Keith Moon, John Entwistle) as well as their performances of songs from the album.
