Jeroen Paul ThesselingJeroen Paul Thesseling: New Piece for 7-string Bass… Dutch bass player Jeroen Paul Thesseling (PESTILENCE, OBSCURA, SALAZH) recorded a new experimental microtonal work.

Uncommon string technuiques, a mastered version of the microtonal piece, ‘DISCREPANTIUM’ – for 7-string bass, is available for streaming audio at www.jeroenthesseling.com/audio.htm

With different string-techniques Jeroen tried to approach contrast in the broad and sometimes unexplored timbre of the instrument. It’s played fretless in 24-tone equal temperament and contains a few ringmodulated elements.

‘DISCREPANTIUM’ is produced by Yuma van Eekelen at Final Focus Studios and mastered by Maor Appelbaum at Maor Appelbaum Mastering studios.

…coming up ‘TRANSLUON’ (by contemporary composer Jurica Jelic) and ‘MPULSE’.
