Nova Rex, with Bassist Kenny Wilkerso, released a documentary called “Nova Rex: Ain’t Easy Being Cheesy” that was picked up by The Documentary Channel. It started airing regularly in July 2012, but can also be rented from Netflix or purchased at Amazon or major retail outlets such as Target, Barnes & Noble, Kmart, Best Buy, etc., and soon to be on Hulu.
Nova Rex: Ain’t Easy Being Cheesy is about 80’s hair-metal and the band “Nova Rex” and their contributions to that time frame. Think Anvil meets Spinal Tap with a hair-metal twist. Since the airing of the documentary, the band has gained other monumental achievements such as being immortalized with their inclusion of Nova Rex artifacts to The Smithsonian National Museum of American History in Washington D.C. The “Nova Rex: Ain’t Easy Being Cheesy” documentary has been included into The Rock and’ Roll Hall of Fame Library and Archives in Cleveland, Ohio. They have also teamed up with Anheuser-Busch and have received a National talent sponsorship and are working on a tour now.
