Jimmy Fallon, Tavis Smiley Help Nathan East With Solo Launch

Nathan East, who is our featured cover interview this month, is launching his debut album in a big way this week. The bassist’s eponymous solo record is out today, and to help spread the word Nathan will sit in with The Roots on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night (March 26th). At the end of the week he’ll appear on Tavis Smiley’s PBS talk show for both an interview and a performance.

The album has already landed in Amazon’s Top 100 on its first day of release, and is currently at number two on Amazon’s jazz chart. In addition, the album’s first single “Daft Funk” has reached number 3 on Billboard’s smooth jazz chart.
