Bassist Jessica Wilkes of J.D. Wilkes US Touring with Dirt Daubers

Lord Mayor Of Dublin, Ireland Welcomes J.D. Wilkes, with Bassist Jessica Wilkes – Wilkes Continues U.S. Touring With Band The Dirt Daubers Promoting New LP, Wild Moon, Out Now On Plowboy Records.

Plowboy Records announces cultural exchange under UNESCO program featuring label artist and acclaimed author J.D. Wilkes of the band The Dirt Daubers. A formal exchange of gifts and goodwill is scheduled to take place May 3rd between Dublin, Ireland’s Lord Mayor and Paducah, Kentucky based musician J.D. Wilkes. Wilkes, will travel to Dublin to present his book “Barn Dances and Jamborees Across Kentucky” as an illustration of Ireland’s influence on Kentucky music.

Wilkes enthused, adding “Kentucky and Ireland share a common culture, a lyrical cadence and even a geological vein! J.D. Wilkes and The Dirt Daubers is Colonel J.D. Wilkes (vocals, harmonica, banjo), Jessica Wilkes (vocals and upright bass), plus fellow Legendary Shack Shaker Rod Hamdallah (guitar) and Preston Corn (drums).
