Published on
Hello bass players and fans of bass playing! Welcome to Famous Bass Intros – Part V!
For this issue we have an amazing bass intro, Victor Wooten’s “The Sinister Minister,” from the debut album of the band Béla Fleck and the Flecktones(1990). This song was the only single from this album. The video was so popular on MTV and VH1 back in the early 90s, that it won a Grammy in 1997, despite it being a 1990 song. The live version of “The Sinister Minister”, was the Best Pop Instrumental Performance award.
Victor Wooten is an American Bass Icon! A great composer, producer, bass clinician, etc. A winner of five Grammy Awards. He’s the owner record label, Vix Records, on which he releases his own music. Do YOU want to know more about Wooten? check out his website: victorwooten.com
