Hello bass players and fans of bass playing! 2015 is here! So grab your axe and let’s PLAY. We will continue with more of the great and famous bass intros. Remember! They put the bass into the spotlight. This month we have one of the smash hits by the English heavy metal band Iron Maiden. The song is called “The Trooper,” and it was written by bassist Steve Harris. The hit was the second single from their 1983 album Piece of Mind. “The Trooper” was one of their songs to get much radio airplay in the US. It was in the US Mainstream Rock charts and in the UK Singles Charts.
