Mike Claiborne Releases “Mr. Evans”

Bassist Mike Claiborne explores the jazz piano trio format with his latest digital single ‘Mr. Evans’ – a title that tips the hat to the great piano trio maestro Bill Evans.

Notes Claiborne, “Jazz pianist Bill Evans is the inspiration for this tune. I wrote it in 3/4 and recorded it as a trio as Bill Evans was known for both of these formats. I performed the piano and fretless bass parts and assembled the drum part together by editing loops. I hope you enjoy this tune and that it helps to bring more awareness to the music of Bill Evans.”
