Former Musicians Institute graduate of the Bass Performance program, Kaitie Sly, announced that she has published 6 volumes of instructional books for the electric bass guitar through boutique publishing company, Violet Anamnesis Publications.

The bass book series, entitled, Beginner Series: Bass Method, starts from a beginner level, and is available for purchase online through Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

The Beginner Series: Bass Method has received acclaimed reviews from some of the industries top bass educators and players, and is the exclusive curriculum for US Music Lessons, a well-known private music academy in San Diego, CA.

About Kaitie Sly

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Canada, musician and author, Kaitie Sly, has been honing her musical talents since the age of 8. Before picking up her first instrument, she was soaking in the music industry from regularly attending her father’s blues and rock gigs. In 1996 she stepped on to her first stage and has been performing ever since.

As the author of the 6 volume electric bass books, “Beginner Series: Bass Method,” Sly has worked as a session bassist, teacher, vocalist, and performer in Canada, the US, and the UK.

Now based in Los Angeles, Kaitie has worked as a session bassist, collaborating with artists, playing on award winning albums, and collaborated with television composers. As a writer of music for media, Kaitie works with a music licensing company and has had her music featured in many videos for Canadian corporations, post secondary institutions, and the Province of British Columbia.
