Los Angeles native, Erik Kertes, is a songwriter, producer, arranger, composer, touring and recording upright and electric bassist, music director, and a multi-instrumentalist.

Currently playing electric bass, upright bass, synth bass and cello for Shakira’s “Dorado” world tour, Erik also co-wrote and played on Michael Buble’s Pop charting “Nobody But Me” and will hit the road for Buble’s tour in 2018. Erik has also played on Grammy winning songs for Roberto Carlos and Ariana Grande, and has toured pop, rock, country and jazz acts Lenka, Rooney, Rita Wilson, and Josh Kelley.

Erik is endorsed by Fender, Aguilar Amps, D’Addario and received his training at USC Thornton School of Music under John Clayton.
