Legendary bassist Andrew Gouché, who was our January 2013 cover (VIEW) artist, has opened a new lesson website.

The site, andrewgouchebasslessons.com, teaches original grooves that are applicable to 4, 5, and 6 string basses. Each groove lesson has a full speed version, a slowed down version, a backing track, and TAB. Andrew offers, “There are many great bass lessons websites out there, but this site gives you a chance to learn some things from MY perspective!”

Gouché is a legend in the bass world, recognized as a pioneer in gospel bass.

He has been featured on stage and recordings with Rev. James Cleveland, Andraé Crouch, BeBe and CeCe Winans, the Hawkins Family, and many, many more. He has also served as the bassist for Gladys Knight and as the musical director for Chaka Khan. Most recently, he worked with Prince on recordings and performances, prior to the artist’s untimely passing.

As his latest endeavor, Gouché has turned his attention to bass education and the lesson site that he calls “Andrew Gouche’s Grooves From The Soul!”.
