This is the first book to cover the history of Rickenbacker basses, especially with bands such as the Beatles, Yes, Motorhead, Rush, and quite a few more. The book covers many different models of the Rickenbacker bass from the first 4000 series bass all the way up to the latest models, and some that you may not be so familiar with – like the 3000, 3001 and the basses in the 2000 series, such as the 2020, 2060, and 2030.

Covered in the book are also custom modifications, artist models, years the basses were in production as well as notes and details. The Rickenbacker bass is so iconic that Paul Boyer goes into great detail to inform readers of everything that the Rickenbacker bass has done for the past 50 years in rock, leaving no stone unturned.

Hal Leonard’s The Rickenbacker Electric Bass 2nd Edition by Paul Boyer is available at Amazon.com, as well as halleonard.com.
