As an in-demand sideman, bassist and composer Bubby Lewis has found acclaim and success in the worlds of jazz, hip-hop, R&B and beyond, performing with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Lupe Fiasco, Jhene Aiko, Tha Game, Kim Burrel, Stevie Wonder and others. And now Lewis has added another chapter with his new solo single “Friends,” released via Ropeadope Records in October 2018. The song is already garnering acclaim for its retrofuturistic sound and catchy hook, sumptuous synths, deep groove and robotic vocals.
