Etude Based On An Argentinian Rhythm, “Milonga”

In this video I want to share with you a bass-duo based in “La Corralera”, a Milonga (An argentinian kind of Tango) written by Anselmo Aieta and adapted to the bass by Bucky Arcella.

The key to study and practice this piece is not only in the accuracy of playing all its’ parts, but also the expression of the joy/mood that surrounds this composition. It’s very important to be aware of all the dynamics and intentions of every segment, specially in an instrument this is not known for being widely dynamic.

As always, here is the link where you can download all the studying material with PDF and Guitar Pro Files, as well as backing tracks of each bass line.

Hope you like it and have funk with it! It’s an honor for me to share the Argentinian tradition to the world!
