Back when St Paul was only 17, he was discovered by none other than Prince (who gave him the nickname St Paul Peterson). Prince enlisted Paul as a keyboard player for Morris Day and The Time in the movie “Purple Rain”.

Paul took the lead vocalist spot in the Prince produced group The Family” before becoming a solo artist and scoring hits for MCA and Atlantic Records.

He has also recorded, toured or written with Steve Miller, Peter FramptonDaryl Hall, Prince, George BensonOleta Adams, The CorrsKenny Loggins, to name a few.

Even though he has played around the world, St. Paul has not forgotten his Minnesota roots. He has dedicated a huge part of his creative efforts to celebrate his local surroundings with his music and as an essential part of the local Funk Scene.
