One of the reasons I love playing bass is the fact that it is a percussive and melodic instrument all at the same time. I find that we always have a special bond with our drumming bandmates, but what if the bassist is also a percussionist? Meet Dawn Drake!
Her travels have taken her to Ghana, Brazil and Cuba where she has focused on some serious percussive elements and uses them in her bass playing as she performs with her band Zapote.
