Finkbass New EP: Kill Your Darlings
The third EP by Finkbass, “Kill Your Darlings,” to be released worldwide on October 23.
“Kill Your Darlings” is Laura Fink’s creative outlet to feeling devastated by heartbreak. They wrote these five songs in only four days about the end of a relationship and without intending it, their next EP had been created.
Those who are now expecting a typical heartache-album are mistaken. Instead, Finkbass delivers empowering messages that stay with the listener.
The solo-artist confidently sings about inevitable endings, dreaming about getting back together and the irony of feeling inspired after the break-up.
With “Kill Your Darlings” Laura Fink shows once again their remarkable evolution as a solo-artist.
With a synthesizer as the newest edition to Finkbass’ musical setup, their main instrument, the bass guitar, still gets enough room to shine. The sound remains sometimes sassy and in-your-face, other times spherical, but always groovy.
