Bluegrass music always cheers me up so it was especially great to talk to a pillar of that community on upright and acoustic, Bassist Todd Phillips.
Todd is a two-time Grammy Award winner and founding member of the original David Grisman Quintet. He has a multi-page bio of his achievements and the list of great musicians he has played include Ricky Skaggs, Joan Baez, Sam Bush, John Hartford, Alison Brown, Mike Marshall, Stuart Duncan, Elvis Costello, and Rosanne Cash, just to name a few.
